BPAC Funds - Rules and Regulations
BPAC is the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee. We are dedicated to fostering bilingualism and biculturalism in our community for both monolingual and bilingual families. We work with the school to ensure that the language programs provided are continually developing to best help bilingual children be academically successful.
BPAC funds are available to teachers and organizations intending to support either cultural or multilingual learning within District 124. This may be through events, after school opportunities or additional curriculum or classroom supports. Cultural or bilingual materials purchased by the teacher can also be submitted for reimbursement with proof of purchase for the current school year.
Funds are limited and given that BPAC also supports all of the aforementioned resources, a certain amount will be kept for their own events and uses. Available funds will vary.
Anyone requesting BPAC funds must fill out the request form. Requests can be submitted to [email protected] with “funds request” in the subject box. Requests will be reviewed by the board at our monthly meetings. Meeting dates are available on our district web page. The board must vote in a majority for the funds to be released. Once the meeting has concluded the solicitor will be informed of the board’s decision.
Our hope is to support our students by supporting teachers.
